As a member of a bitracksual league, tell us how you feel about the banked track verses the flat track?
I enjoy skating on both, but the banked track is a little more dynamic. So both skating on it and watching games on it is more interesting. There are just more things that can happen on the banked track.
What inspires you most when training?
Whenever I try to push myself on the track or at the gym I Ialways just imagine I'm trying to catch a jammer and score points. It really helps to visulize the exact reason I need to work on endurance.

The banked track is what people remember, so it’s the most relatable when trying to bring new fans in. But honestly, I like skating any game so banked or flat I’ll be there./p>

What made you start playing roller derby?
I had my interest sparked in roller derby after seeing a women's flat track game out in Denver. Thought it was super cool, but thought, "Eh, women's sport. I'll never get to play." Two years later I hear that there is a CO-ED league in Philly, and I think to myself, "Well, what luck!" Think its just a sport for girls? Come see the men play. We'll change your mind.
What is your pre-game routine?
I work myself into a pre-game rage by thinking about how much I hate Wags and by imagining ways to destroy him and everything he loves.

As a member of a bitracksual league, tell us how you feel about the banked track verses the flat track?
Both flat and banked games offer excitement, speed, and athleticism. The banked track just elevates it and puts it on a slant... and makes it go faster... and more dangerous and EXCITING!
What inspires you most when training?
My fellow skaters and the wonderful ex-pro coaches that we get the honor to receive said training from.
Clobberella
How did you come up with your name and number?
My friend came up with the name and it fit so perfectly at the time. I was the youngest skater when I first joined PJRD, so I thought, a spin off of Cinderella was a good route to go. The number 9 is my lucky number.

Blocker... Lets just say, I live up to my name.

I saw it on TV and it was love at first sight. I said, "I can do that." and so I did!

Labyrinth.
Where did you grow up?
Jackson, NJ... where Six Flags is. I came to Philly for school and never left.
What is the most rewarding part of being a member of Penn Jersey Roller Derby?
I love skating with the men. They add another level of challenge to practices because they are very skilled skaters and block harder than the girls. I like that I am able to hit them as hard as I can without hurting them. Our men's team has grown in numbers and in skill, and they are such an important part of our league. Being able to skate with (and sometimes against) my boyfriend of 4 years has been a very rewarding experience as well. I'm glad I can go to practice with my boyfriend and that roller derby is something we both can share.
As a member of a bitracksual league, tell us how you feel about the banked track verses the flat track?
Anyone can skate on a flat track, but not everyone can skate on a banked track. Its an entirely different animal... and WAY more fun!
What inspires you most when training?
My fellow skaters inspire me... If I see someone trying something different, I might get an idea for a new move or a new drill we need to try, or if I see someone doing something new, then I NEED to learn it NOW. Everyone is always open to giving constructive critisisms, which only makes the league stronger, because we are always progressing.
